Zahak

Zahak retains Ashizawa's characteristic combination of classical and avant-garde, with the judicious addition of marionette and mask arts. It is as rich and complex as Persian carpet: contemporary issues and conflicts of Iranain life subtly woven into ancient Persian mythology, emphasizing certain overlooked motifs. It could be appreciated for the visual and audio effects alone, but knowing the intricacy of ideas involved makes the experience even stronger for some audience members.
